Mileage141,594Service Date4/21/2025Services Performed- Technician performed multipoint visual inspection, checked Oil, Fluids, Belts, Battery, Charging System, Tires, Brakes , A/C, and Heating System. Our technician inspected and scanned the vehicle system, and noted the engine idling rough , test came back with codes : MISFIRE(P03031 cylinder # 3, and P0171 system too lean, and therefor; he recommends to replace all spark plugs, 1 ignition coil (preferably all 4 but customer declined), air mass flow sensor(MAS), and the vehicle is due for an oil change as well, plus throttle body cleaning. The customer approved the job recommendation, and the technician ordered the parts, removed and replaced one ignition coil and spark plugs, changed oil and filter, air filters are clean and OK. The technician then scanned the vehicle again, both codes went away but engine was still idling rough, checked and performed a FUEL PRESSURE TEST, it was below( 35 to 38) normal specification of 44 to 50, recommended to replace FUEL PUMP, and the customer approved it plus the technician mentioned that the MAS was not needed, therefor; gave credit back to the customer. After the work was done, test drove the vehicle, the fuel pump replacement made a big difference and rough idle went away but code P0171 was still evident. At this point, The technician smoked the vehicle system, a leak was prominent from the fuel tank CAP, replaced it with an oem one, cleaned up the MAS, recommended to replace Oxygen sensor as well , cleared the code, test drove the vehicle, its running fine now, no check engine light, and per customer's request took the vehicle to our neighbor for an SMOG TEST, it passed the test, and issued a certificate # UM563048C. Our technician stated the vehicle has other problems with the front and rear brakes that are WARPED, and when braking, its VIBRATING and ITS NOT SAFE, and the front lower control ARMS and BUSHINGS needs immediate attention as well.

Mileage175,034Service Date1/14/2025Services Performed- Technician test drove the vehicle to understand the customer's complaint, performed multipoint visual inspection, checked Oil, Fluids, Belts, Battery, Charging System, Tires, Brakes , A/C, and Heating System. Our technician noted that THE VEHICLE HAS MULTIPLE ENGINE CODES FOR EMISSION AND ENGINE PERFORMANCE. TO CHECK THE EVAP SYSTEM THE EVAP SYSTEM WAS SMOKED TO FIND ANY VISIBLE LEAKS. THE SMOKE TEST REVEALED THAT THE PURGE VALVE AND THE EVAP CANISTER VALVE INTERNAL SEALS ARE DEFECTIVE AND ALLOWING FUEL VAPOR TO LEAK OUT, THE GAS CAP SEAL LOOKS WORN OUT AND NOT SEALING CORRECTLY. THE VEHICLE ALSO HAS 1 BAD O2 OXYGEN SENSOR SENDING OUT ERRATIC VOLTAGE TO THE ECM. THE KNOCK SENSORS HAVE A BROKEN WIRE AND THE ECM IS NOT RECEIVING ANY INFORMATION. So at this time, our technician recommends to replace knock sensors, oxygen sensor, , carbon canister, canister purge valve solenoid, and a fuel tank cap. The customer authorized the job recommendation, and the customer chose to pay some down payment and use SNAP FINANCE for the balance. The technician ordered the parts, removed and replaced them, checked carefully for a basic safety, tested and scanned the system, no codes, no misfire now, test drove the vehicle, the customer needs to drive the vehicle for a white to get it ready for smog, if smog test is an issue.

Mileage185,295Service Date12/5/2024Services Performed- Technician performed multipoint visual inspection, SCANNED THE VEHICLE SYSTEM ,checked Oil, Fluids, Belts, Battery, Charging System, Tires, Brakes , A/C, and Heating System. Our technician requested for an hour of labor permission to explore and diagnose from our customer in which it was granted and authorized by the customer. After extensive inspection and scanning, our technician diagnosed code P003A, this code is caused by erratic performance from the TURBOCHARGER. It seems a VARIABLE GEOMETRY POSITION SENSOR for the turbo has been replaced previously. A turbo module reprogramming is required when replacing turbo components. Therefore; our technician recommending to: Replace DEF REDUCTANT LEVELING MODULE, replacing variable geometry turbo vein POSITION SENSOR, and then REPROGRAMMING. The customer approved the job recommendation, then the technician ordered the parts, removed and replaced the def reductant leveling module by completely removing the reductant reservoir tank the fuel tank, removed and replaced the turbo position sensor, checked for a basic safety, started the vehicle, added DEF fluid as it was low, added coolant, let the engine run for a while, noticed the radiator is leaking from the top corner, performed a pressurized test, dignosed that the radiator has a crack in it but the customer does not want to take care of it now. The technician then took the vehicle for a road test drive, no issues except now he had to PROGRAM the turbo sensor. The programming was done successfuly.

Mileage102,691Service Date11/15/2024Services Performed- Technician test drove the vehicle, performed multipoint visual inspection, connected the vehicle system to a live data scanner, checked Oil, Fluids, Belts, Battery, Charging System, Tires, Brakes , A/C, and Heating System. After vigorous inspection, the technician diagnosed that the cylinder #3 has a misfire, and he needed 2 hours of labor authorization to remove intake manifold and other components to access the spark plugs and ignition coils, and our customer granted us the authorization for diagnostic. With this approval, our technician got to work and diagnosed that the cylinder #3's misfire is caused by POOR RESISTANCE of two other IGNITION COILS, and it will cause an INTERMITTENT SIGNAL and misfire. Cylinder # 3 coil would try to compensate a lack of voltage, therefor; it will over heat causing EROTIC BEHAVIOR. The technician then called our customer to COMMUNICATE AND NOTIFY HIM OF HIS DIAGNOSIS AND FINDINGS, and he approved replacing all ignition coils. So the technician ordered the coils, removed and replaced them, scanned the vehicle system, the misfire disappeared, changed oil and filter, replaced engine and cabin air filters, topped off fluids, adjusted the tires air pressure, and reset the maintenance light. Tire rotation is not possible to scattered tires, then he took the vehicle for a road test drive, no problem now.

Mileage91,713Service Date11/11/2024Services Performed- Technician test drove the vehicle, performed multipoint visual inspection, checked Oil, Fluids, Belts, Battery, Charging System, Tires, Brakes, A/C, and Heating System. Our technician noted Under Interior/ Exterior, there is no CODES or CHECK ENGINE light or warning light on, headlights, horn, wiper blades, parking brakes, turn signals are OK, all fluids are OK.Under hood, engine air filter, belts, hoses are OK but BATTERY has internal issuses, and SPARK PLUGS are gaped out and need to be replaced (at almost 92k miles). Under vehicle, the control arms, tie rods, ball joints, and steering gear are OK but front and rear STRUTS/ SHOCKS need attention as the bushings are torn, front and rear differentials are OK, and transfer case is OK as well, front and rear brake pads and rotors are OK but there is an OIL LEAK from the oil filter housing that needs attention. Under the tire inspection, front two tires are OK but the vehicle needs two rear tires. So our technician recommends to replace oil filter housing, upper and lower intake manifold gasket (in order to access the oil filter hosing, the intake manifold needs to be removed, and when its removed, gasket can not be reused), add coolant, replace spark plugs, add 2 new tires, and replace front and rear and rear struts/ shocks.
